Sean is SEIA’s Vice President of State Affairs where he oversees SEIA’s legislative, regulatory, and policy development work in states nationwide. Before joining SEIA late in 2014, he served as an executive for firms developing utility scale solar power projects. Sean was the director of the California Public Utilities Commission’s Energy Division for nearly four years. Previously he was an attorney for the CPUC and in private practice in San Francisco. He has a wide range of expertise in the solar industry and government sector, having worked with legislatures and agencies in California, Nevada, and Arizona, as well as with the Congress and federal agencies including the Departments of Energy, Interior, and FERC.
